(and it’s not just because they’re all man u supporters ok? like yeah, they all thought louis was the coolest shit before they knew him, but now they’re good friends and they actually really just love him. they joke that louis’s the honorary fifth member of one direction)

louis’s just really glad he found someone who’s just as athletic as he is. like liam can totally keep up with him and they get competitive and it’s a lot of fun. he doesn’t even have to ask the team to go easy on liam when he joins them in scrimmage.

they also get papped a lot

because people are really interested in them

because louis is the only openly gay football player in the top four divisions. he came out soon after he started playing for man u. and refused to let himself be backed into a closet.

and then he started dating liam soon after liam came out as bi. and they both sort of got thrust into the limelight as a sort of role model couple

so they’re pretty privately public about their relationship. in the sense that they speak openly about each other and their relationship and don’t try to hide their affection. but they also don’t let people get too intrusive.

they know that their relationship means a lot to a lot of people so they try to be good examples and are pretty involved in youth lgbtq stuff

and they do talk shows and stuff together

and they also do photoshoots together

and they’re just generally cute with each other

they’re also really fucking hot together
